Adding, removing and moving keyframe markers

The tools described in this section are only available if you are editing paths.

The Add Keyframe Marker tool adds a keyframe marker to a path. You must first ensure the path is selected; see Selecting knots, segments and paths. Then click where you wish to add the keyframe marker.

If you are adding keyframe markers to set keyframes in the PATH of a Camera node or of a Transform-type node, you should also read Using path mode. Remember that - in this case - you must first select the frame for which you are setting the keyframe marker; and that you can only have one keyframe marker per path per frame. (If you add a keyframe marker, and there's already one set for the current frame, the old keyframe marker is deleted.)

The Remove Keyframe Marker tool removes a keyframe marker from a path. You must first ensure the path is selected; see Selecting knots, segments and paths. Then click on the keyframe marker you wish to remove.

You can also delete keyframe marker(s) by using the Select tool to select them, and then pressing the Backspace key. The disadvantage of this method is that you can instead delete other objects, such as knots - but at least you can undo any such accidents.

The Move Keyframe Marker tool moves a keyframe marker along its path. You must first ensure the path is selected; see Selecting knots, segments and paths. Then click on the keyframe marker, and drag it along the path.

Again you can also use the Select tool to select and drag the keyframe marker, at the risk of moving other objects.
